The hosts Jo and Jim provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Unfortunately, my experience at Railway Country House was less than ideal. The bedroom was quite small, and the mattress was uncomfortable, leading to a restless night's sleep. I was quite disturbed by the noise coming from the room above, which made it challenging to relax. The lack of tea-making facilities in the room added to my discomfort, as I had hoped for a more cozy experience.

expansive grounds, clear parking signage, charming garden area
The location felt far too quiet and isolated, which may not suit everyone!!! the lack of variety in local attractions nearby was a letdown for my weekend plans.

I drove through a charming green driveway and was greeted by a friendly gentleman who helped with my bags, making me feel right at home. The lovely garden area and cozy leisure room provided perfect spots to relax after a long day. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak in my room, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all. 🌟

A cozy stay marred by several inconveniences. Tea and coffee facilities were only available in the hallway, making it awkward to access. The bathroom window was left unchecked, resulting in spiderwebs preventing us from opening it. Sleep was heavily disrupted by loud tenants above, significantly impacting our rest. I appreciated the effort put into breakfast with options like fresh juice and scrambled eggs, a nice touch amidst the other issues.
